Now Hiring: Join the Urban Surf Crew for Summer 2025!
Are you ready for an unforgettable summer working by the water? Urban Surf is now hiring for the 2025 season, and we’re looking for energetic, outgoing, and hardworking individuals to join our team!
Positions Available:
✅ General Crew $18/hr (Front Desk, Docks) – Checking guests in/out, assisting with rentals, providing paddling instructions, and handling general shop duties. This role requires physical work, including lifting and moving paddleboards/kayaks throughout the shift. (Ages 16+)
✅ Smoothie Kitchen $17.50/hr + Tips – Fast-paced, customer-facing role preparing smoothies and other menu items. (Ages 18+)
✅ Summer Camp Counselors $18/hr-$20/hr – Leading groups of kids through fun outdoor activities. (Ages 16+)
Work Commitment & Schedule:
- Full-Time: Minimum 5 days per week
- Part-Time: Minimum 3 shifts per week
- Weekend & holiday shifts are required and will rotate.
- Set Schedule: We will create a set schedule based on your availability, ensuring consistency for the summer.
Work commitments are divided into two periods:
- Pre-Season (May–July 1)
- Peak Season (July 1–September 1)
Who We’re Looking For:
We prefer applicants who have experience as an Urban Surf customer or familiarity with watersports, smoothies, summer camps, and the outdoors. Working here is fun but also physically demanding – expect long hours in the sun, heavy lifting (for general crew), and a fast-paced environment.
Key Requirements:
✔️ Outgoing & Confident: Comfortable speaking in front of groups and interacting with guests.
✔️ Physically Active: Able to lift and move paddleboards/kayaks (general crew), stand for long shifts, and work in hot conditions.
✔️ Team Player: Work well with others and communicate effectively.
✔️ Adaptable & Quick Thinking: Stay calm and problem-solve in busy situations.
✔️ Self-Starter & Independent Worker: Can take initiative and complete tasks without constant supervision.
✔️ Enjoy the Outdoors & Watersports: Some experience with paddling is a plus!
