POSITIONS AVAILABLE

General Crew (Dock & Rentals)
Ages 16+ | $18/hour | Part-Time & Full-Time

This is not a sit-down job.

You’ll be outside, moving gear, launching and hauling boards, teaching paddling basics, and working shoulder-to-shoulder with your dock crew to keep the day flowing. Expect sun, wind, heat, and busy days.

You must be comfortable with physical work, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs throughout your shift. Must be able to follow work instructions and safety procedures and work without direct supervision. 

This role is for people who like being active, talking with guests, and working as part of a tight team. If you enjoy moving, problem-solving on the fly, and creating great summer moments for people — you’ll thrive here.

Not a fit if you’re looking for a quiet, low-effort, or solo role. This is hands-on, fast-paced, and social.

Smoothie Bar Crew
18+ | $18/hour + tips | Smart Serve Required

This is a fast-paced, high-standard role in one of the busiest and most visible parts of Urban Surf. We’re known for great smoothies, well-made cocktails, live music nights, and packed event days — and legendary customer service is non-negotiable.

You’ll run the smoothie bar day-to-day: prepping ingredients, knowing the menu inside and out, managing rushes, and serving guests with speed, care, and personality. Most daytime shifts are solo, with team support during events and live music nights.

This role is for people who can own their station, stay organized under pressure, and think two steps ahead. You’re expected to move with confidence and keep the vibe high, even when it’s busy.

Not a fit for anyone looking to just take orders or wait to be told what to do. This role rewards initiative, consistency, and pride in your work.

ABOUT THE TEAM

How We Work:

We provide training and clear expectations, but expect crew members to show up prepared, take ownership, and be reliable with schedules set in advance.

 

The Commitment:

Full availability is required throughout July and August, as this is when most shifts occur. Being away for multiple weeks during peak summer will not be a fit for this role.

Who Thrives Here

Urban Surf is a great fit for people who take pride in doing things properly and enjoy physical, active work in a social outdoor environment. Most of our summer crew are Grade 11+ and typically in college or university.
